Dream Theater

This is basically where I write about all my dreams, since I tend to have them a lot.

A note.

I’ve noticed, especially after an acquaintance just became angry at me, that the way people act and react is quite ludicrous.

For instance, while watching Seinfeld last night, Richard pointed out the absurdity of people’s reactions to certain events and interactions, such as Elaine going out of her way and paying a large sum of money just to piss off an ex-boyfriend.

Furthermore, an acquaintance of mine whom I’ve barely spoken to in person but often online, retorted that I can never say anything nice to her anymore. This is probably because I used to be attracted to her and spent a semester trying to court her, during which I frequently complemented her. Now, however, I have a girlfriend and moved her to the ‘friend zone,’ to which I normally joke and say sarcastic things. She was listening to a Fall Out Boy song and I said that it was a terrible song, and she said to never talk to her again unless it was something nice.

Which brings me to my point: Society and people do not communicate properly these days. Be it telephones, texting and the internet stealing the ability to speak? I’m not sure. But should I risk the awkwardness to talk to her again, when it could seem that I’m just being nice? Or should I just drop the ball?
